Aries Card (Fairy Tale Challenge #141)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today a new challenge started at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog.

The theme for this fortnight is #141, Sternzeichen / Zodiac

This time our lucky winner will get one digital stamp of winner's choice from Digistamp Boutique.

For this challenge I made this Aries Card, a birthday card for my friend, who celebrates her birthday tomorrow. :o)

For this card I used adorable Mama Elephant 'Cosmic Stars' stamp set.

I stamped Aries twice. First one on a cardstock paper and fussy cut it leaving a white border around the image. Then I stamped another image on watercolor paper and colored it in watercolor technique using Tim Holtz's Distress Ink Hickory Smoke and water. After drying, I fussy cut the image, this time following lines, colored edges with black marker to get better impression and glued it over the first stamped image.

Then I stamped randomly stars on a card base using Tim Holtz's Distress Ink Mustard Seed. For grounding the image, I used scraps from my stash, cut two stripes and glued them on the card base. The image grounding was inspired by stunning work by Christine Drogt of Kartenchaos.

At the end, I glued 3-D foams on the back of the image and placed it on a card. :o)
