Monster Wishes Card

Hi everyone :-D

There is currently a Guest Designer Call for March at Gerda Steiner Designs, and I decided to apply.

I created several cards for this GDT call. I will post all in next couple of days. The first one is CAS (Clean and simple), Monster Wishes Card.

I used only one monster from Gerda Steiner Designs 'Three Monsters' digital stamps. They are all super cute!!! :-D

I printed the monster on a scrap of white cardstock paper, colored it in watercoloring technique using only one color (Tim Holtz´s Distressed Ink Mustard Seed), water and brush. Then I fussy cut him, colored edges with superfine black permanent pen and added some transparent varnish on eyes, eyelids and teeth, to create glossy accents.

While varnish was drying, I printed a sentiment on a white card base I wrote on my computer, using beautiful 'Fontmoochers' free font from Kevin & Amanda Free Scrapbook Fonts.

I love dimension on my cards. I added dimensional foam behind the Monster and placed him on the card.

At the end, I embellished card with homemade black faux enamel dots. I learned how to make faux enamel dots from video tutorial by ScrapTips on YouTube. First I made glue dots with a glue gun on a backing paper and colored them with Staedtler permanent black pen. After drying, I glued them on card with Pritt universal glue.

Card dimensions are 95 mm x 139 mm (3 3/4" x 5 1/2").
